I´ve got this cool little fella on my workbench for almost 2 months. My first color scheme idea was to make a classic green goblin but somehow green
doesn´t fitted too well on the white snow as I´ve soon realized it (sorry, no photos of that palette). Stripped and repainted it with
"normal" colors and I´m happy with it. He is from Scibor Miniatures and was a real pleasure to paint. He is really small about 22 mm feet to top of the head.
Eu estava com esse carinha parado na minha mesa por quase 2 meses. Meu primeiro esquema de cores foi tentando fazer um clássico goblin verde mas de alguma forma o verde não combina muito bem com o branco da neve como pude perceber (foi mal, sem fotos desta paleta). Tirei toda a tinta e repintei com cores "normais" e fiquei feliz com o resultado. Ele é da Scibor Miniatures e foi muito legal de pintar. Ele é bem pequeno com cerca de 22mm do pé ao topo da cabeça.

Recently I have read the Massive Voodoo tutorial about glazing and I´m practing this very useful technique on my mini painting. Of course I´m still on the learning curve of anything related on miniature painting (as you can see on my awful, horrible and shameful results on this blog). I found this website about color theory and it´s very enlightening and full of valiable info (be advised: the text is huge!!!). Anyway, her´s a wip of glazing on the RAFM maniac #2 overalls.
Recentemente eu li no Massive Voodoo um tutorial sobre "glazing" e eu tenho praticado esta útil técnica na minha pintura de miniaturas. É claro que ainda estou na curva de aprendizado em pintura de miniaturas (como podem ver nos resultados patéticos, horríveis e embaraçosos deste blog). Eu também encontrei este website sobre teoria das cores e é muito esclarecedor e cheio informações valiosas (esteja avisado: O texto é enorme!!!). De qualquer forma, aqui vai uma amostra do glazing no macacão do maníaco numero 2 da RAFM.
I managed to complete the basing of the mini using a suggestion from a user from lead adventure forum. I really think I could have done it better but I had to accept the little time available I had to my hobby. Anyway...Consegui completar a base da mini seguindo a sugestão de um usuário do fórum lead adventure. This is a WIP. That´s one of the mad doctors from RAFM Call of Cthulhu miniatures. It have been sit on my painting desk for aeons mostly because I wasn´t sure what colors should I use for his clothes. I decided yesterday to go for a traditional scrub of nowadays surgeons so it still can be played on my modern zombie apocalypse games. Too much blood? I tried to hold myself but I always go crazy when painting my bloodied little monsters... Mwhahauahaua !!! (supposedly evil laugh) Este é um trabalho em progresso. Este é um dos médicos loucos da RAFM miniaturas de Call of Cthulhu. Esteve jogado de lado por eras principalmente por que eu não conseguia me decidir pelas cores de sua roupa. Decidi ontem pintar como um avental tradicional de cirurgia dos cirurgiões da atualidade, assim posso usá-lo em meus jogos de apocalipse zumbi moderno. Muito sangue pra você? Eu tento me conter mas sempre fico meio louco quando pinto meus pequenos monstrinhos sangrentos... HUhuhauhauhauahu!!! (supostamente uma risada malévola)

This week I´ve not painted all the minis I´ve planned to paint. Real life knows how to drag you away from your hobby. I´ve finished the first arctic explorer and I´m very pleased with the looks of it in the snow (baking soda with pva glue). Could he be a team member from Starkweather-Moore expedition? What have he seen on those binoculars that literally frozen him in place??? Esta semana não consegui pintar todas as minis que planejei pintar. A vida real sabe como te afastar de seu hobby. Terminei o primeiro explorador do artico e fiquei bem satisfeito da forma que ele ficou na neve (cola branca e bicarbonato de sódio). Poderia ele ser membro de equipe da expedição Starkweather-Moore? O que ele deve ter visto com seu binóculo para literalmente congelar no lugar???

Nyarlathotep the "Crawling Chaos" in one of his thousand forms "The Bloody Tongue". Nyarlathotep is an evil deity who prefers to spread the madness than death. Painting a miniature in such riches details really almost made loose my mind. The tentacles coming out of his mouth (?) were made with green stuff (kneadite) as well as some veins in his posterior leg. Still not based ´cause the damned customs in Brazil are on strike and my shipment of bases are locked somewhere. Painting with Vallejo drybrushed and the blood on the tongue (that thing coming out of the trunk) with Tamiya clear red x27. Nyarlathotep o "Caos Rastejante" em uma de suas mil formas o "Avatar da Língua Sangrenta". Nyarlathotep é uma divindade maligna que prefere disseminar a loucura do que a morte entre os humanos. Pintar uma miniatura com tantos detalhes realmente quase acaba com minha sanidade mental. Os tentáculos saindo de sua boca (?) foram feitos com green stuff (kneadite) assim como algumas veias na perna posterior. Ainda não coloquei em uma base pois a que encomendei está presa na maldita greve da receita federal. Pintura com pincle seco de tintas Vallejo e sangue na lingua (aquela coisa saindo do tronco para cima) com Tamiya clear red x27.

I have a lot of RAFM COC minis waiting for centuries to paint them and yesterday I left other projects on hold ´till a paint at least some. I´ll post them as I manage to paint one by one as a encouragement to get that job done. Here are the first ones of a hundred. I´m using Vallejo Game color (drybrushed) and Colorgin Spray Varnish. Above is The Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath. The base was made from 3mm hardboard and plumber putty. The flock is tea painted dark green and the tall grass is made from thin fish line. You can click on the images for a bigger picture.Eu tenho um bocado de minis de o Chamado de Cthulhu da RAFM esperando a séculos para serem pintadas e ontem deixei outro projetos de lado para pintar ao menos algumas. Vou postar enquanto vou pintando para ter coragem de terminar o serviço. Estes são os primeiros de uns 100. Usei Vallejo Game Color (pincel seco) e Verniz em spray da Colorgin. Acima está a Cria Negra de Shub-Niggurath. A base foi feita de chapa dura de 3mm e durepóxi. A grama é folha de chá pintada de verde escuro e a moita foi feita de linha fina de pesca. I´m very pleased with the colors chosen, especially the blue pustules. The tongue was made with kneadite and I think made the monster more sinister and disgusting.Fiquei satisfeito com as cores escolhidas, especialmente as pústulas azuis. A lígua foi feita com kneadite e acredito que deu uma aparência mais sinistra e nojenta ao monstro
The Servitor of The Outer Gods is a cool mini that comes with a base full of blasphemous inscriptions that I painted with my eyes closed to avoid the evocation of unknown horrors or losing the little sanity i still have. I hope he will be pleased with his altar. God knows what kind of evil rituals were performed on here...O Serviçal dos Deuses Exteriores é uma mini bem legal que vem com uma base repleta de inscrições blasfemas que pintei com os olhos fechados para evitar evocar horrores ocultos ou perder a pouca sanidade que me resta.
